Registration
The NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) has granted Condell Park Christian School an “Exemption from registration” on religious grounds for Years K-10 (Early Stage 1 to Stage 5). This exemption falls under Part 7 of the Education Act 1990 and is renewed every five years through an on-site inspection by NESA inspectors. Our most recent inspection occurred in 2022. As is the case for any registered school in NSW, the School is required to meet the outcomes of the Australian Curriculum as outlined in NESA’s syllabus documents.
Core Curriculum
In addition to the core subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, and History/Geography, the school offers Visual Arts, Drama, Music, and themes within the key learning area of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education. Additional elective courses are available to students in their latter years of secondary school.
We believe that no person can be thoroughly educated unless he or she has a love for and proficiency in reading, understanding and interpreting the Word of God. Therefore the school has a strong literacy development programme commencing in Kindergarten. The school is also committed to all of its students developing real strength in numeracy, since functionality in today's society requires a high level of competence in numeracy.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
Students of Condell Park Christian School consistently achieve outstanding results in NAPLAN and national academic competitions. Please click here to see our latest average NAPLAN results for Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. Students that leave our school to move into Senior and Tertiary studies, are well equipped to flourish and excel in their chosen areas of interest.
Diverse Learners
Condell Park Christian School is committed to addressing the needs of enrolled children with disabilities and special learning needs. With input from external special education advisors and performance testing of students, the Learning Support Coordinator, teachers and teachers' aides implement strategies to assist children with such learning challenges, in close collaboration with parents.
The school has identified and is working towards an important target of developing greater opportunities for our gifted and talented students. With our small classes (less than 15 in a class), we are able to more easily differentiate material for all students.
